"Clem has broken in our horses over the last seven years.  He does both our racehorses and show hacks.  They have all broken in very well with super soft mouths.  Our trainer is more than happy with  the gallopers.  A couple of years ago Clem broke in Kolbeach Venitian, she has gone on to be named 2010 Grand National Large Galloway of the Year" .

After spending more than 20 years as a competitive dressage rider and numerous years breeding performance horses at Davrol Warmbloods, I have learnt the importance of your horses having the best of starts when they begin their careers at the breakers. A bad experience at this critical stage can stay with a horse throughout its life. For this reason, I have sent all of my youngsters to Clem for their pre-breaking and subsequent breaking-in.

Without exception all of my youngsters have come back to Davrol as honest, confident and reliable horses that are ready to continue on with their dressage careers. I cannot recommend Clem and Sharlene highly enough for anyone looking for a caring, calm and professional environment to entrust their valuable horses to.

We would highly reccommend dealing with Clem and Sharlene, wether it be to purchase a horse or have a horse campained by them. We have done both and couldn't be happier with the results.
They are very proffesional in all aspects and you can be sure that they will do their best to suit all of your needs and your horses needs.

Clem has been starting all my horses under saddle for many years now, and I absolutely trust him to give my youngsters the best start possible. Clem is a natural horseman and understands what is required to make the horses respond to the new training required of them. He has a lovely quiet manner that encourages the horses, and gives them confidence during this very important stage of their lives.

When the youngsters come back home, they are happy in their work, they are forward moving with a light contact, and respond well to the leg aids. This ensures they are very relaxed and continue to learn whatever is asked of them in a quiet way.  All horses have the very best of care while with Clem and Sharlene, and come home in wonderful condition. This is such an important time in a young horse‚Äôs life, and will shape their future careers. I consider myself lucky to have such a wonderful horseman as Clem give my horses the best possible start under saddle.
